The tunnel is open 24/7 to the public. However, please note that although multiple mosaics have been complete, they have not yet been installed at this point in time. If you sign up for our newsletter here, you will receive updates when the mosaics are installed. 

Filling the entire tunnel will most likely take 20-25 years to complete. Hopefully we will begin to see 9 already completed mosaic panels installed in the coming years. These completed mosaic panels represent roughly 20% of the entire surface area of the tunnel.

The tunnel can be accessed from Downtown Middletown or Harbor Park.

• From Downtown Middletown: go to Melilli municipal parking lot. Go to the area of the parking lot closest to the highway. You will see a pavilion structure that has a sign saying “To the River.” Enter the stairs or ramp down to tunnel. You can use this Google Maps pin.
  

• From Harbor Park: Walk north with the river to the right of you. The entrance to the tunnel is at the northern-most point of the park. You can use this Google Maps pin.
